He was born the son of the late Clyde Lee Zellers, Sr. and Mary Jane Dosher. Clyde left the Wilmington area in 1948, to join the Army and fought in the Korean War. He settled in the Washington, DC, area in 1962, remaining until 2004, when he returned to his beloved home, Wilmington. Gone before him are his sister's, Mary Blanche Garmon, Barbara Ann Leonard, Judy Faye Molander; and brother, Gene Arlen Zellers.
Surviving are his beloved wife of forty two years, Laura Geneva Zellers; a daughter, Theresa Rene Evans and husband John; stepdaughters, Kathy Pritchett Long, Vickie Jean Pritchett Lester, Velva Lucinda (Cindy) Pritchett; stepsons, Tommy Lamar Pritchett and wife Barbara, and Billy Lee Pritchett and wife Marilyn; his sisters, Sandra (Sandy) Dianne Russell and husband Joseph (Joe), Eleanor (Ellie) Ruth Osborne; and many grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Clyde died at age 72 at his residence.
