Joyce LaVerne Jackson left this earth on Saturday, November 14, 2015, and joined her precious Savior and her beloved husband.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at the First Baptist Church in Clyde with Rev. David Cason officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park, 5750 Hwy 277 South, in Abilene, Texas. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Bailey-Howard Funeral Home of Clyde.

Joyce was born to Olan and Lois Cooper March 12, 1937 in Roby, Texas.

She was the widow of Delton Joe Jackson whom she married on May 12, 1961, in Hamlin. They moved to Abilene in 1977.

She was a member of Broadview Baptist Church in Abilene.

Joyce spent her time devoted to her family along with her interior design business. She worked with the youth at FBC Hamlin and also welcomed many into her home.

Joyce is survived by two sons, Keith Jackson and wife Dana of Clyde and Kyle Jackson of Abilene; six grandchildren, Ashley Taylor and husband Jacoby of Clyde, Chelsea Feliciano and husband Freddy of Austin, Chris Jackson and fiance Sara Dennis of Lubbock, Emily Emrick and husband Jared of Fairfield, Texas, Clay Jackson of Abilene, and Kayla Jackson of Abilene; three great grandchildren, Brayden Taylor, Riley Taylor, and Adelyn Feliciano; one brother, Gary Cooper and wife Sue of Lake Palo Pinto; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and precious friends.

As a family, we appreciate the love and care she received at Homestead Nursing Center in Baird and Kinder Hearts Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to Homestead Nursing Center Activity Fund in Baird, 224 E 6th St, Baird, Texas 79504.
