Angleton - Erica Michelle “Missy” Perry, 44, of Angleton, TX, formerly of Goliad, passed away Friday evening, November 13, 2015 at the UTMB Hospital Angleton, TX.

She was born November 10, 1971 at the Goliad County Hospital to Carol Scott Perry and Edwin Lee Perry. Siblings Rev. Edward Perry (Rana), Elton Perry (Debbie), Showniece Guidry (Bryan), Step Mother, Liza Perry; God Children, nieces, and nephews, Jazmin, Lexi, Isaiah, Dezaren, Xavier, Taniyah, Ray, Eddie, Eli, Emory; A host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Dear Friends.

Missy accepted Christ at an early age and baptized at the Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church, Eagle Lake, TX by the Rev. P.L. Barrow, pastor. When she relocated to Angleton, TX, she united with the Providence Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. W.D. Hicks, pastor.

She graduated from Danbury High School class of 1990 and trained as a Medical Technician at Texas School of Business, Houston, TX and Brazosport College, Lake Jackson, TX. She had a career as Senior Adult and Childcare Provider.

Missy had no birth children, but reared and cared for many of the children in the community.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents Otis Perry, Eddie May Perry, JC Scott, Frankie Scott, Sterling Noble, and Mary Noble.

She is survived by her parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, god-children and a whole host of aunts, uncles, cousins, the children she cared for and many dear friends.

She spent her life, loving and taking care of so many, now God is taking care of her.

A viewing and visitation will be held on Friday, November 20 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Grace Funeral Home (214 Market Street, Goliad, TX 77963 (361) 645-3216; Fax (361) 645-2450). Home going Celebration for Missy will be on Saturday, November 21 at 11:00 am Minnehulla Baptist Church (3572 US-59, Goliad, TX 77963 (361) 645-3731) with burial at Sapenter Cemetery (Sapenter Rd at Minnehulla Rd.) Immediately following the service. Repast to be held at Minnehulla Baptist Church immediately following the burial.
