Mrs. Ward, 77, Fraterville Dies A native of the Red Oak Mountain area near Caryville,
Mrs. Minnie Amanda Ward, 77, of the Fraterville community, died of pneumonia Jan. 4 at Lafollette Medical Center.
Mrs. Ward was a member of the Red Oak Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing and quilting.
Mrs. Ward was preceded in death by a son, Horace Ward.
She is survived by her husband, Fletcher Ward, two sons, Billie Ward of Dayton, Ohio, and Ray Ward of Jacksboro, three daughters, Mary Lou Long and Reba Farmer, both of Lake City, and Martha Overby of Lafollette, 25 grand children, 11 great-grandchildren, brother, John Byrge of Kentucky, and two sisters, Dessie Phillips of Lake City and Dee Adkins of Sunbright.
Funeral services were held Sunday at Martin Funeral Home in Lake City with Revs. Robert Kennedy and Joby Byrge officiating. Burial was in Campbell Memorial Gardens.
