Mrs. Judith K. Boyd of Fredericktown died March 9, 1985 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was 68. Chapel services were held Monday, March 11 at Hansmann Funeral Home with the Rev. Cecil Sheppard officiating. Burial was in Christian Cemetery. Pallbearers were Steve Edwards, Thomas Edwards, Joseph Swafford, Greg Edwards, Larry Sudmeyer and Fred Sudmeyer. Mrs. Boyd was born Nov. 28, 1916 in Portageville to the late Lease and Lela (Parker) Maloney. She married Everett Boyd Sept. 10, 1948 in Pocahontas, Ark. He survives. Other survivors include a son, Tommy Hood Sr, of Sullivan; two daughters, Mrs. Allene Edwards of Fredericktown, and Mrs. Judy Feary of Ladson, SC; two brothers, Bud Maloney of Portageville and Paul Maloney of Fenton; two sisters, Mrs. Marilliaun Bolden of Sikeston and Mrs. Dorothy Beckman of Roswell, NM; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and numberous nieces and nephews and other relatives. Mrs. Boyd was a member of the First Baptist Church and women's auxillary.
