Hugh Lockhart Passes Away

There passed away this morning, Thursday, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. A. V. Marchant, of Penticton, Hugh Lockhart, aged 70. He had lived in Penticton for slightly less than a year prior to his death.

Born in Ontario, deceased lived for some time in Manitoba, later moving to Spruce Lake, Sask., where he made his home for 31 years, moving from there to Penticton. He is survived by six daughters, Mrs. A. V. Marchant, of Penticton; Mrs. T. Flynn, of Kaleden; Mrs. C. F. Marshall, of Keremeos; Mrs. Grant Dow, of Paradise Hills, Sask.; Mrs. Annie Evans and Mrs. James Morris, of Stratford, Ont., and three sons, Walter Lockhart, of Marawyn, Alta.; James Lockhart, of Kaleden, and Stewart Lockhart, of Allen Grove. Alfred Lockhart, of Rugby, Sask., is a brother, and Mrs. P. T. Butchart, of Edmonton, a sister.

The funeral will be held tomorrow, Friday, from Howson's chapel, Rev. A. F. Kenney officiating. The pall-bearers will be George, Harold and Robert Preston, of Kaleden; Robert Marshall, of Kaleden, and Gordon and Elmer Marchant, of Penticton.
