Bill was a graduate of Windsor High School.
He enjoyed fishing, watching the Patriots, and loved dogs and old trucks. He also liked to pack up the conversion van and travel all over. He went to Montana to help his son build his home and homestead. He also supported and encouraged his daughter in her academic career and move to Boston. His passion was spending time with his grandchildren.
The family includes his son, Zachary McNeil and his wife, Jeanne; his daughter, Amanda Nevius and her husband, Phillip; four grandchildren, Gabriel Zachary, Clara Grace, Noah William, Brennan David; his siblings, Bob McNeil and his wife, Kathy, Stephen McNeil and his wife, Andrea, Mike McNeil and his wife, Donna, Linda Wright and her husband, George, Randy McNeil and his wife, Terri Decker and Stuart McNeil and his wife, Debbie; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Roger McNeil and his sister, Kathleen “Kitty” Berry.
A memorial service will be held at Grace River Church on Main Street in Claremont.
A committal service will be held privately.
