Mrs. George Green Died January 25th At Age at Fifty-One

The Funeral Was Held Tuesday.

Marcella Bradshaw Green, daughter of Thomas and Syrilda Bradshaw, was born January 14,1879, near Crossville, Illinois; departed this life January 25,1931, at her home in Crossville, Illinois, age 51 years, 7 months and 11 days.

She was united in marriage November 9, 1895 to George W. Green at Carmi, Illinois. To this union were born six children, two having preceded her in. death namely, Mrs. Fred Finch who passed away June 17,1927 and George Dewey, who passed away March l, 1930.

She leaves to mourn her departure a loving husband and four daughters, Mrs. Freda Wingert, of Dixon, Illinois, Mrs. Grace Benson, Kennett, Missouri, Mrs. C. B. Rudolph and Miss Dorothy, both of Crossville, Illinois, besides ten grandchildren one brother, Oscar Bradshaw, near Crossville and one-half brother, G. O. Brown of Broughton, Illinois.

She joined the M. E. church about 14 years ago and remained a faithful member until death.

She has been connected with the telephone company for the last 14 years and has had charge of the central office for the last five years and her prompt and faithful service will be greatly missed by her host of friends and especially the subscribers of the telephone company, for as it has been said about her kindness in connection with this office that she never left a call until the party answered or it was impossible to get them, such was her untiring efforts.

Funeral services were held at one thirty o'clock Tuesday afternoon at Stokes Chapel, conducted by Rev. George Hall, of Carrier Mills. Mrs. Scigal Martin and Mrs. Wendell Brown, with Mrs. Alvin Stein at the piano, sweetly sang "Asleep in Jesus"'"Rock of Ages" and'Going Down the Valley."

Interment was made in the Stokes Chapel cemetery. Boultinghouse & Archer were the funeral directors.

Pall bearers were Homer Sheridan" Homer Marshall, John Denbo, Jesse Endicott, H. L. Rudolph and Pierre Delain.

The flowers were carried by Wilma Endicott, Virginia Stokes, Uldine Smith" Maxine Graham, Wilma Carr, Vonda Lee Marshall and Marjorie Rice.

Those from a distance attending the funeral were Mr. G. Wittmer, Mrs. Laura Arnold, and Mr. and Mrs. John H. Rudolph, of Evansville, Indiana.
