Mr. Bailie served in the Marine Corps during World War II. He was a 1950 graduate of The Citadel and went on to serve as the first Executive Director of the Citadel Brigadier Club, the Assistant Athletic Director, and the golf coach. Mr. Bailie retired from Merrill Lynch after 33 years of service. He was a 4th generation member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and the former Treasurer of the Summerville Neighborhood Association.
Mr. Bailie is survived by his son, Rushton and was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn.
