At age 3 he was adopted by his loving parents, Joseph R. and Mary (Bennett) Oesch. In 1940 he graduated Tulsa Central High School, Tulsa, OK. After his discharge as a WWII veteran he married Sara Esther Smoot on March 10, 1944. In 1946, he graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. He retired in 1984 after 37 years in the brick manufacturing business.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Sara, and a grandson, James Robert Linenschmidt. He is survived by his daughter and sonin-law, Mary and Bobby Linenschmidt of Dallas, TX; a son, Roger D. Oesch of Addison, TX; grandson and his wife, Mark and Susan Linenschmidt of League City, TX; brother, Walter Wilson of Marion, Louisiana.
Graveside service will be Friday August 25, 2006 at Blue Mound Cemetery, Denton, TX. Rev. Mark Vowell of Ridgewood Park United Methodist Church, Dallas, TX will be officiating.
