A number of relatives and friends gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Carpenter Sunday, the occasion being to celebrate the seventy-first birthday anniversary of Mr. Carpenter.
A birthday dinner was served and the afternoon was spent in enjoying real old time music played by Cletus and Harley White, James Carpenter and Albert Bowring.
