Oner P. Parsons (July 26, 1890 - February 21, 1955)

HUGO, Okla. — The funeral of Oner Parsons, 64, native of Lamar County, Texas, was set Thursday afternoon (February 24, 1955) at the Hugo Church of God, conducted by the Rev. Jesse Middleton and the Rev. Jimmy Lick.

Mr. Parsons died here Monday midnight in Memorial Hospital, having been brought from his home on Goodland Route. He had become ill while at work on a barn there during the afternoon. Mr. Parsons, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jim U. Parsons of Belk community, Lamar County, was born July 26, 1890. He married Miss Gertie Allison of nearby Garretts Bluff community, January 29, 1916. They lived most of the time since then in Choctaw County.
His wife survives, besides these children: Frank Parsons, Rt., Hugo (OK); Allison Parsons, El Centro, Calif.; Mrs. Clarence Roy Mrs. Dallas Spot and Mrs. Vern Hammond, Dallas, and Lloyd Parsons, Fort Bliss, Tex.: 12 grandchildren, and these brothers and sisters: Roy Parsons and Mrs. Carrie Herring, Garretts Bluff; Lonnie Parsons and Hardy Parsons, Belk; Mrs. Sadie Ford, Post Oak community and Mrs. Emma Wilson, Emberson community, all in Lamar County (TX); Dee Parsons, Parsons and Woodland, Calif.; Henry Parsons, Brooks, Calif., and Sidney Parsons, Kcr
