Bernadine Kvinlaug, 91, of Marshalltown, IA, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2015, at Hawkeye Care Center in Marshalltown.

Per Bernie's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and no services are planned at this time. Private family interment will take place at Prairie View Cemetery in Gilman, IA, at a later date.

Bernadine “Bernie” Kvinlaug was born on December 31, 1923 to David E. and Anna (Mull) Bogue. She was married to Jerald (Jerry) Kvinlaug on October 3, 1942. During her working years, Bernie worked as a nurses aid for a few years and raised several foster children. She was a resident at the Odd Fellows for many years, and most recently Hawkeye Care Center for the last five months.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen Smith of Laurel, Iowa and Judy (Tom) Campbell of Marshalltown, IA; four grandchildren, Michael Scott Smith of Laurel, IA, Paul Campbell, Lory Harre and Wendy Atcher all of Marshalltown, IA; seven great grandchildren, T.J. Harre, Taylor Madison, Tamera Harre, Lainey Harre, Chase Atcher, Emma Atcher, and Emma Campbell; two great great grandchildren, Aubrea and Ava Madison.

Preceding her in death are five brothers, Dee, Everett, Lawrence, Clarence and Robert Bogue; her husband, Jerry Kvinlaug; and son-in-law, John “Johnny” Smith.
