Nomia Ann Goad, 80, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2015 at her home in Parrott. She was retired from Radford University housekeeping department.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Clifford and Verland Ruth Bane; daughters, Rita Ann Simpkins and Verona Gail Yates; son-in-law, Larry Yates; sisters, Gladys Flinchum, Ruby Davis and Ellen Bane; and brothers, Stanley and George Bane.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Wiley Edward Goad; daughters and sons-in-law, Selena and Raymond East of Lilly Dale, Cynthia and Larry Fender of Richmond, and Monica and Earl Lawrence of Radford; son-in-law, Joe Simpkins; sister and brother, Eunice and James Foster of Radford; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. T. Michael Bond officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
