Madge L. Hunt, age 83, of Union, Ohio, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2015. She was born August 18, 1932, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Forrest and Myrtle Cox Rockey. She was a member of Vandalia Church of the Nazarene for the past 20 years, a 1950 graduate of Northridge High School and a graduate of the Dayton School of Practical Nursing. She retired in 1993 from Grandview Hospital as a licensed practical nurse, with over 20 years of service.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: an infant daughter, Wendy Jean Hunt; and a brother, Russell Rockey. Madge is survived by: her husband of the past 65 years, Emmett L. Hunt; three children, Rex Hunt, Cindy (Dan) Whittaker and Dawn (Joel) Manns; seven grandchildren, Wendi (Charles) Christopher, Brandi (Trey) Martin, Justin (Katie) Whittaker, triplets Holli (Luke) McDonald, Jamey (Travis) Dorn and Tobi (Chuck) Peacock, and Kendell (Devin) Limburg; 15 great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Rusty.

The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 11, at Vandalia Church of the Nazarene, 620 Stonequarry Road, Vandalia. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the church, with Rev. Mark Batton and Rev. Robert Vogelman officiating. Interment will be at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in memory of Madge to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45420. Morton and Whetstone Funeral Home, in Vandalia, is in charge of arrangements.
