John Ellsworth Cook, age 82, passed away on November 4, 2015 in Murray.

He was born May 2, 1933 in Ipswich, Massachusetts to Eugene Ellsworth Cook and Mabel Louise Casey.

He married Arlene Powell on September 10, 1960 in Huntington; later solemnized in the Manti Temple. They were married for fifty-five years and blessed with five sons.

He was a mechanic in the Army. John also worked as a tire recapper and loved hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, or doing anything outdoors. He loved spending time with his grandkids.

John is survived by his wife; sons, Mark, Brian (Lily), Darren, Paul, and Kyle (Karen); fourteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and siblings, Evelyn, Dorothy, Vivian, Marjorie, Richard, and Donald. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Bill and David.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Riverside First Ward Chapel, 5425 South Allendale Drive (600 West), Murray, with a viewing prior from 10:00-10:45 a.m.
Interment: Redwood Memorial Estates.
