Funeral service for Mr. Charley Franks, Jr., 72, of Monroe, will take place at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 7th, 2015 in the chapel of Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home, with Rev. Jerry Byrnes and Rev. Betty Byrnes officiating, interment to follow at Coax Cemetery, under the direction of Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home-Winnsboro, LA.

Charley was retired from the oil field and was born on September 22, 1943 in Springhill, LA to the union of Charley Obens and Opal Gertrude Porter Franks. Charley passed away on November 5, 2015 in Monroe, LA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charley and Opal Franks; grandsons, James Robert Polk and Charley Lee Franks; brother, T.F. Franks and sisters, Estelle Parks and Mary Parks.

Survivors left to cherish his memory are his wife Rosie Berry Franks; sons, Johnny Franks and special friend, Mary and Kenneth Franks; daughters, Barbara Polk and husband James and Lisa Morris and husband Robert; sisters, Nora Ogden, Irene Daniels and Ruby Franks and 12 grandchildren and several great-grand children. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, November 7, 2015 from12:00-until service time at the funeral home.
