Mrs. Clara Doss Mitchell, age 92, of Stuart passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2020, at the Blue Ridge Therapy Connection.
She was born on December 15, 1927, in Patrick County to the late Joseph R. Doss and Nannie Lou Corns Doss.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, John D. Mitchell, Jr.; two sisters: Alice Sheppard and Ellie Griffin; and four brothers: Marion, Clayton, Delano, and Riley Doss.
Clara was a member of Critz Baptist Church.
Surviving is a sister-in-law, Elaine Doss of Stuart; and six nieces and nephews: Janice Woods, Cheryl Gunter, Jerry Doss, Steve Doss, Mike Doss, and Ronnie Doss.
Following COVID-19 guidelines, a graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at 11:00 AM at Patrick Memorial Gardens with Pastor Allan Vass officiating.
