Ruth G. Nichols, 85, of Indianapolis, passed away November 2, 2015. She was born on April 16, 1930 in New Albany, IN, to the late Charles and Bessie Jensen Scharf.
Ruth married James "Nick" Nichols, and he preceded her in death June 19, 2012. She was the office manager for Dr. Shackles Optometry for many years.
Ruth is survived by her children, John (Linda) Nichols, Margaret (Mike) Longmire, Barbara (Dan) Danbom and Carol Junker; brother, Ken Scharf; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
