Elizabeth (Jung) Powers, age 98, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2015 in San Antonio, TX.

She was born on December 17, 1916 in San Antonio and raised in Fredericksburg, TX from the age of 5.

Elizabeth married her love, Jimmy Powers, in 1941.

She was a longtime member of the St. Mary Magdalen Altar Society and the Catholic Daughters of America.

Her cake baking skills were legendary, resulting in countless requests to provide sweet treats. Memories of her warmth, strength, and wit will be treasured by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by husband Jimmy Powers, daughter Mary Catherine, and grandson Matthew Thompson.

She is survived by brother Eugene Jung, daughter Paulette Thompson (Cliff), granddaughters Erica Bochantin (Mike) and Brigette Thompson (Jay Wilkerson), great-grandchildren Lindsay and Brandon Bochantin, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her family sends their deepest gratitude to the staff at The Heights on Huebner for their compassionate care during the twilight of Elizabeth's life.

Services at St. Mary Magdalen on Nov. 5th include visitation from 8:30am, rosary at 9:00am, then Mass. The burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Fredericksburg.

Memorials may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma society.
