Rayford Lee Fain, 94, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday afternoon, November 1, 2015, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born April 10, 1921, in Stokes County, to Columbus Feenoy and Mary Elizabeth Hooker Fain.

Rayford was a member of Union Tabernacle Church, and was retired from RJ Reynolds with 19 years of service.

Rayford loved traveling and camping.

4 BRONZE STARS
Mr. Fain served his country proudly in the United States Army during WWII, receiving 4 Bronze Stars during his service.

He was a simple man and lived a simple life.

A 2:00 pm Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at Burroughs Chapel, with Pastor Herb Mabe officiating.
Burial will follow at 4:00 pm at the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors.
In addition to his parents, Rayford was preceded in death by 1 daughter: Wanda Elizabeth Fain, 4 sisters: Beatrice Harold, Marie Scott, Irona "Cricket" Westmorland, and Margie Lee, 2 brothers: Amos Fain, and Ralph Fain.

He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years of the home, 3 children: 5 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and many special nieces and nephews.
