Born in 1887 in Hungary, Catherine Scheero died in 1967. She was predeceased by her Hungarian born husband Eberhart Scheero who died in 1950.

On September 12, 1918, the date of her husband Eberhart's World War I Draft Registration Card, Catherine and Eberhart lived at 1609 Randolph Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with their children.

According to the United States 1930 Census, Catherine came to America in 1904. By, 1930 she was a naturalized United States citizen, as well as her husband Eberhart. German was Catherine's natural language, but she was able to speak English.

As of the 1930 U.S. Federal Census, Catherine and Eberhart owned their own home at 2318 Seybert Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Along with her husband and nine children, she lived at 2318 Sybert Street with them. The children listed in their birth order were: Victoria age 16, Catherine age 15, Margarette age 14, Tressa age 12, Philip age 10, Nicholas age 8, Veronica age 6, Clara age 4 and Josephine age 3.

Sadly in 1945, Catherine's brave son Private Philip J. Scherro was killed in action during World War II.

Surviving Catherine were her loving children Victoria Gertrude Scheero-Hennessey, Catherine Scherro-Moultrie, Margaret Scheero-Smith, Teresa E. Scherro-Dukel, Nicholas F. Scheero, Veronica T. Scherro-Wade, Clara Scheero-Park and Josephine Scheero.

Please Note: On November 4, 2015, it was determined by Find A Grave Member John Albright that Nicholas Francis Scheero is buried in the same grave along with his father Eberhart, his mother Catherine and his brother Philip Scheero, although his name has never been put on the headstone of the grave.

John obtained this information when he spoke with the Holy Cross Cemetery office in Yeadon, Pennsylvania when he was trying to fulfill a photograph request for Nicholas' grave.
