Helena Woods
Rites June 28

Graveside services were held Friday, June 28, 1974, for Helena Woods, 72, at Fremont Cemetery in Clarke County. She died at the Clarke County Hospital in Osceola on June 25, 1974. Rev. Paul Luckey officiated at the 1:30 p.m. services.

Helena Woods was born on August 25, 1901 in Clarke County, daugher of Benjamin Franklin Patterson and Cora Alice Petrie. She was married to Loren Woods in Osceola on December 24, 1923. To this union nine children were born.

She was affiliated with the Christian Church, was a member of the Womens Federated Club and a member of the VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors include her son, Lowell Dean Woods of Osceola; daughter, Mrs Chester, (Ramona Rose) Tellier of Osceola; daughter Mrs. Fred (Lois Elaine) Pettis of Osceola; son, Sgt. Warren Woods and Betty of El Paso, Texas; son, Leonard Raymond Woods, and Karen of Des Moines; son, Richard Earl Woods and Lila of Platte City, Florida; daughter, Mrs. John (Sharon Nadine) Sinclair of Allerton; 24 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two children Dixie Lee and Rebecca Kay Woods.
