CARLSBAD - Ardell Chatfield, 80 of Landsun Circle, died Friday (Jan. 13, 1995) in Landsun Health Care. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday in the West Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Hammer of First Christian and Rev. Stanley Spencer "Rusty" Chatfield III of N Michigan Bible Church, Bert Lake, Mich. officiating. Burial will follow at Carlsbad Cemetery.
Arrangements are being made by West Funeral Home.
Ms. Chatfield was born Aug. 20, 1914 to Wayne Robert Rawlings and Helen O'Dell Rawlings in Springfield, Ill. She married Stanley Spencer Chatfield Sr. in Denver March 25, 1931. She was a university graduate majoring in music. She played piano and organ for Carlsbad churches and convalescent homes since retiring to Carlsbad in 1971. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1987.
Survivors include her two sons, Stanley Spencer Chatfield II of Pellston, Mich. and James Ross Chatfield of Litchfield Park, Ariz., 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
