Albert Jimenes, Sr., 62, of Wichita Falls passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015. A Funeral Mass will be recited at 10 AM Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Amado Vallejo, Celebrant. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 Tuesday at the funeral home. A Vigil will begin at 7:00 PM.
Mr. Jimenes was born December 20, 1952 in Wichita Falls to Mike and Catherine (Gonzales) Jimenes. He was a lifelong resident and graduated from Hirschi High School. Albert was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church here. He married Yvonne Arredondo in Wichita Falls on March 3, 1973 and she preceded him in death in 2013. He was a welder by trade and later was employed at Certainteed for 17 years. Albert was a handyman and could repair most anything. He loved sports and especially loved to watch his sons compete in football and his grandchildren in soccer and other sports. Albert loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them and his friends.
Others preceding Albert in death were his son, Mike Anthony Jimenes (2001); brother, Michael Jimenes; nephew, Justin Jimenes; niece, Janelle Perez.
Surviving are his children; Albert Jimenes and wife Colleen, Pamela Jimenes and fiancée Michael Saenz and Joseph Jimenes, all of Wichita Falls; his parents, Mike and Catherine Jimenes of San Antonio; sisters, Nancy Perez, Gloria Perez, Elizabeth Jimenes and Roseann Jimenes; grandchildren, Trance Saenz, Caleb JImenes and Madison Brillhart; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
