Elizabeth Ann Hobson BELFAST, Va. Elizabeth Ann Hobson, 71, of Belfast, Va., passed away Saturday, November 30, 2013, at the Russell County Medical Center following a long battle with cancer.

She was born July 3, 1942 in Lebanon, Va., the daughter of John Harvey and Irene Dotson Breeding of Lebanon, Va.

She was a lifelong resident of Russell County.

She was preceded in death by her mother and one sister, Rebecca Breeding.

Survivors include her father; and her husband of 54 years, Donald C. Hobson; two sons; one daughter; three grandsons; three granddaughters; two great-granddaughters; special family members, Stan and Miranda Musick and Marki Burcham.

She leaves behind as well two sisters; four brothers.

Numerous family and friends that she loved so much and a special friend, Corine Perkins, also survive.

Special thanks to Total Home Care especially Paula and Connie who took such great care of our precious mother.

Thanks to Dr. Bailey and the staff of Russell County Medical Center for all they did during her last days. Also special thanks to nurse Rhonda Stevens for so lovingly taking care of all of us during such a hard time.

The funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2013, in the Combs Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Doug Murray, the Rev. Eugene Miller and Brother Larry Dotson officiating. The family will receive friends after 6 p.m. Monday, December 2, 2013, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Steve Vencill, Bill Vencill, Beth Hobson, Tracy Hobson, Brandon Hobson, Bryan Hobson, Eric Hobson and Stan Musick. Honorary pallbearers will Tom Breeding and Neil Breeding.
