LYNN, N.C. -- R. Steve Strickland, 60, of Lynn, N.C., passed away on April 24, 2005.

Steve was born in Quitman, Ga., and he was the son of Nadine Barksdale and Thomas Franklin Strickland. He was a member of the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church and former president of Thermal Belt Rotary Club.

Steve is survived by his wife, Cynthia Strickland; and his two sons Spencer and Cooper Strickland. He is had three sisters, Mary Helen Love, Betty Cunningham, ., Julia Ann Everett; four brothers, Thomas Strickland, Walter Strickland, Harvey Strickland and John David Strickland.
