She was the oldest of eight children, having been born August 7, 1927, in Oakland, Kentucky to the late Jerry & Emily Jordan.
Sarah was a member of Central Wesleyan Church, where she participated in events including the preparation of homemade noodles to support missions. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and fishing.
She worked tirelessly and retired from Delco Remy after 37 years, in part, to care for grand-children.
She is survived by her children, John (Wendy) Day, Patty McLaughlin, & Jerry (Becky) Day; son-in-law, Kendel Rinker; sisters, Wanda King & Glorianna Hawk; grandchildren, Kendel (Jenny) Rinker, Jr., Kelly Rinker, Anthony Rinker, April Waldrop, August Day, Autumn (Jantzen) Emerson, Jonathan (Alison) Day, Brittani Day & Zach Day; great grandchildren Angela, Kendra, Jordan, Caleb, Hannah, Marcello, Evyn, Astor & Rosemary; several great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Newell R. Day; daughter, Bonnie Rinker; brothers, Justin, Robert, James, & Harry Lewis Jordan; and sister, Martha Rae Reagan.
