HOUSTON - Pauline S. Hayes passed away peacefully on Thursday, Mar. 30, 2017 at the Milford Center.
Mrs. Hayes was born on Jul. 6, 1916 to the late Raymond and Bertha Shockley. She was a homemaker and a lifetime member of Houston UM Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hayes; and a granddaughter.
She is survived by her daughters, Pat Johnson (Stan) of Felton, and Shirley Taulbee of Lincoln; grandchildren, Mike Johnson (Debbie) of Harrington, David Taulbee (Carrie) and Tracy Grose (Lawrence), both of Lincoln, and Jason Johnson (Amy) of Dover; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; as well as special friend and caregiver of 6 years, Joann Campbell.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Apr. 5, 2017 at 12 noon in the chapel of Houston UM Church, 235 Broad St., Houston, DE 19954, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Interment will be at Barratt's Chapel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations in Pauline's memory can be made to: Houston UM Church, PO Box 43, Houston, DE 19954.
