Ruth Maxine (Bratcher) Hargrave, 95, Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on October 24, 2015, at New Mark Care Center, Kansas City, Missouri.

Ruth was born on March 24, 1920, in Kingston, Mo., to George F. and Gertrude M. (Buck) Bratcher. She had been a homemaker and had lived in Kansas City since 2007. She had previously lived in Kidder, Breckenridge, Chillicothe, and Wheeling.

Ruth was a member of the Community of Christ faith, and had volunteered for many years at the Morningside Center in Chillicothe.

On October 30, 1938, she married Edwin Lee Hargrave in Kingston, Mo. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her parents; sons-John E. and Mark A. Bratcher; 6 brothers; 4 sisters; and 1 great-grandson.

Survivors: Children-Gerald Hargrave (Rita), Kansas City, Mo.; Alma Hargrave Walls, Lexington, Mo.; and Francie A. Hargrave Snodgrass (Jim), Independence, Mo.; Brothers-Paul D. Bratcher (Gloria), Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Elbert D. Bratcher, Cameron, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service: 2 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 29, at Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton.

Visitation: 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment: Rose Hill Cemetery, Breckenridge.
