Howard Burton Brant, 88 passed away at the home of his son, Frank Brant, late Monday night. Mr. Brant had made his home in Bangor for the past 15 years. Before that time he lived on a farm north of Lacota. He is survived by eight children: Frank of Bangor, Mrs. Myrtle Piper, Mrs. Bertha Hall, Mrs. Sara Hall, Melissa Weese Sliter, Mrs. Lula Malbone, Howard Burton Brant, Jr and Fred Brant, all of Kalamazoo. Also by 15 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in Sherrod's chapel this afternoon (Thursday) at 2 o'clock. Rev. Ralph Winans, pastor of the Church of God, South Haven, will conduct the service. Burial will be in Arlington Hill Cemetery.
Howard was a son of Lacey and Angeline (Brown) Brant of Berrien County, Michigan.
