Bobbie Ruth Scoggin-Weber of Edmond, OK, peacefully passed away on the morning of Wednesday, October 21st, 2015 at the age of 87 years old.

She was a beloved sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She is preceded in death by her parents Agatha Opal and Jefferson Green Perkins, husband Jack D. Scoggin, and husband Dr. Charles L. Weber. She is survived by sister Betty Wright, daughter Janet Shelley-Raymer and husband Bill, son Kent Scoggin and wife Nancy, grandchildren Casey Shelley, Barrett Shelley, Brad Scoggin and wife Merlyn, Kevin Scoggin and wife Kelsey, and great grandchildren Abrielle Scoggin and Isaac Scoggin.

Bobbie was born on July 21st, 1928, in Mabank, TX. After attending schools in east and south Texas, Bobbie moved with her family to Kermit, Texas, where she began working in the world of business. Here, also, she met and married Jack D. Scoggin. Bobbie, Jack and the children moved about Texas following Jack’s career as a certified public accountant and then finally settled in Edmond, Oklahoma, in 1974. Here, Bobbie began her career in real estate becoming an outstanding realtor, earning the respect and lasting friendship of her clients and co-workers. Her honors included being named Realtor of the Year by the Edmond Board of Realtors, and Business Woman of the Year.

After losing her beloved husband, Jack, Bobbie retired from real estate and took a position as assistant to the executive director of the Oklahoma Retired Educators’ Association, Dr. Charles L. Weber. During this time, Bobbie enjoyed being an active member of First Baptist Church, Edmond, OK. After a time, Charles and Bobbie, each having lost a spouse to illness, were wed in 2000. Soon Bobbie and Charles retired and moved to Touchmark Retirement Community in Edmond, OK, where they made many friends and were active members of the Touchmark community. Bobbie had a positive impact on all who knew her because of her consistently positive attitude and ever present smile.

An informal visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 23rd, at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond, OK. A memorial service will take place the following day, Saturday, October 24th, at 2:00 also at Matthews Funeral Home. Memorial gifts may be made to Faith Hospice, 16211 N. Robinson Avenue, OKC, OK, 73116.
