Henry was a member of the Georgia House of Representatives from Cass Co. and then Gordon Co, Georgia. He was Justice of Inferior Court of Gordon Co. also. He was Col. Of the militia district & organized the 4th Georgia infantry regiment from Gordon Co. They fought in the Civil War in Lee's army of Northern Virginia. A major battle was fought on his plantation in Gordon Co. After the war, he went to Texas with many of his brothers, settling in Johnson Co.
He married Elizabeth (Betty) Bostick. Their children are Joseph (Joe), Martha J. (Callie), Ophelia M, John E, Cass, Iris Ann, William Cass, Samuel Milton, and Eli.
