Louie is survived by his wife of 42 years, Wilma; son, Rodney "Rod" (Erin) Parsons of Racine, Wis.; daughter, Jennifer (Rick) Atteberry of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Abby, Garret, Hannah, Tiernan and Ellie; sister-in-law, Betty Parsons-Boots; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Louie was preceded in death by his father; mother; four sisters, Doris Blanchard, Mary Ellen Lenenberg, Phyllis and Janice Parsons; two brothers, Richard and Jim Parsons; and one grandson, Matthew Atteberry.
Louis Albert Parsons was born June 30, 1943, in Monticello, Iowa, the son of Albert Louis and Minnie Belle (Turner) Parsons. On June 19, 1965, Louie was united in marriage to Wilma Reth. He spent his life in and around Hopkinton. Louie was the manager of Spahn and Rose Lumber Yard in Hopkinton for many years. After its closing he was employed at Exide Battery in Manchester, and from 1989 until 2005 was employed at Energy Manufacturing in Monticello. Louie enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting and loved cooking.
