Gary "Jim" Parsons,47, of rural Manchester, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 1995, in his home after a lengthy illness. Services: 2 p.m. Saturday, Hopkinton Methodist Church. Burial: Hopkinton Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 tonight at Goettsch Funeral Home, Hopkinton.

Survivors include a daughter, Brenda of Onslow; two sons, Jamie cq of Manchester and Keith of Oneida; and a brother, Louie of Hopkinton. Mildred I. Thomas, 79, died Thursday morning, Aug. 10, 1995, in St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, after a long illness. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday, Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home, Manchester, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today. The Rev. Lois Abel will officiate. Burial: Oakland Cemetery.

Survivors include a sister, Elizabeth Van Sickle and husband Merle of Cedar Rapids; and two nephews, Jon Van Sickle of Manhattan, N.Y., and Gene Van Sickle and wife Rita of Cedar Rapids.
