Mattie Caroline Marsh

Mattie Caroline Reynolds Marsh of Samson passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2015. She was 95. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2015, in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Samson with Minister Steve Watts officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Church of Christ Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service on Saturday beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Mrs. Marsh was born in Houston County, Ala. on October 2, 1920, to the late William Henry “Bossy” Reynolds and Vessie Mae Drinkwater Reynolds. She was a charter member and lifelong member of Oak Ridge Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Marsh; two sons, Jimmy Marsh and Charles Marsh; daughter, Betty Carol Johnson; and all eight of her siblings.

She is survived by her son, Travis Marsh of Geneva; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
