MOVILLE, IA - Gertrude L. Hopp,77, rural Moville, died Tuesday in an automobile accident east of Sioux City.
Services will be 10:30 am Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moville. The Rev Gary Olson will officiate. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery.
Mrs. Hopp, the former Gertrude Zellmer, was born June 22, 1906 in Moville and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Moville High School. She married Rudolph Hopp Feb 7, 1929 at Rock Branch. The couple farmed in the Moville area. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Hopp was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was Supervisor of the Textile Department of the Woodbury County Fair.
Survivors include three sons, Harold of Moville, Robert of Sioux City, and Alfred Dale of Des Moines; one daugter, Mrs. Harlan (Esther) Hoeck of Moville; four brothers, Ed and Frank both of Moville, Gus of Lawton, and Fred of Sioux City; one sister, Mrs. Hans (Hattie) Hamann of Anthon; 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
