Harley James Adams, 27, proprietor of the Adams Plumbing shop, 2i Prospect street, passed away Friday evening, at 8:30 o'clock, at Theda Clark hospital. He had submitted to an operation for appendicitis two weeks ago.
Mr. Adams was born Feb. 5, 1257, at Almond, Wis., but lived in Menasha practically all his life. Hs- graduated from Menasha high school with the class of 1925 and also attended the Oshkosh State Teachers college and the University of Wisconsin. He was a member of the Acacia Fraternity of John A. Bryan lodge of Masons.
On Aug. 29, 1933, he was married to .Miss Eleanor Ruth Duwe, Oshkosh,. who survives him, together with his father, L. R. Adams, Nampa, Idasho; four brothers, Ross, Lloyd and Allan Adams, all of Menasha, and Louis Adams, of Nampa, Idaho; and two sisters, -Mrs. George Williams, of Neenah, and Miss Verna, Adams, of Menasha.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon, at 2 o'clock, at the Masonic temple in Neenah, Rev. John. Best, pastor of the First Congregational church, officiating. The body has been removed to the Pelton funeral home where friends may call from Sunday afternoon until noon. Tuesday. At 12 o'clock Tuesday the body will be taken to the Masonic temple, to lie in state until the hour-of the funeral.
