Gloria June Meek Hogan, 80, of Shreveport, La passed away October 16, 2015. June was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her faith in God was central to her life. She was active in church no matter where her husband's career as a petroleum engineer took them – New Orleans, Peru, Norway, Holland, Trinidad, Venezuela, and England. She served as the education secretary at Oak Park Baptist Church in New Orleans, Louisiana for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Charles. They would have been married 65 years on Tuesday, October 20, 2015. She is also survived by, her children, Sharon Hogan Cloninger (and spouse Tom Cloninger), Charles Hogan, Jr., Martin Hogan, Martha Hogan Gilliam (and spouse Craig Gilliam), and Donna Hogan (and partner David Donegan) as well as eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and two nieces.
Services will be held at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home @ 8801Mansfield Road in Shreveport, LA. Visitation is at 9:30 followed by the service at 11:00. Dr. Mike Anderson of Haynes Boulevard Baptist Church in Shreveport, LA will officiate. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that you make a donation to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
