G. A. Miller, 84, died Sunday
George A. Miller, 84, 1426 Clark Ave., died at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at Mary Greeley Hospital. He was taken to the hospital earlier Sunday.
He was born April 3, 1877 in Story County and was a lifetime resident. He lived in Kansas for one year. He managed the Tilden grocery store for many years, then operated the Northwestern Ave. grocery until his retirement.
He was a member of the First Methodist Church. He was married to Emma Mackey June 6, 1900 at Nevada.
Survivors include his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Gabelstein of Ames; Jeannette Miller of San Francisco, Calif., and Mrs. Ruth Cain of Iowa Falls; one sister, Mrs. Frank Dawson of Story City; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday from the First Methodist Church, the Rev. Lawrence Beals officiating.
