Elmer Gordie Beach was born 8 Sep 1915 in Woodworth, Stutsman Co., ND to William Harrison Beach and Frances Grace Greenup. He went to school at rural Melville, ND and Carrington, ND.
On 18 May 1935, Elmer was united in marriage to Evelyn Adeline Graham at Carrington, ND. Elmer farmed for 11 years and he worked road construction for many years. He then worked for Thompson Lumber Yards, later called Warehauser and later called Robertson Lumber at Carrington, ND. He retired in 1980. He was accomplished at woodworking, carpenty and leather work. He had resided at Golden Acres Manor in Carrington, ND prior to his death on 31 mar 1999 at the age of 83 years.
He was survived by his wife, Evelyn of Carrington, ND; one son, Gordon (Gloria) Beach of Carrington, ND; one daughter, Vaunda Lee (Gene) Schutt of Ada, MN; one brother: Merle Beach of Snohomish, WA; five grandaughters; five grandsons; and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Philip and Melvin Beach.
