Mr. Allmon passed away Friday, February 27, 2004 at Morehouse General Hospital.
Mr. Allmon was a member of the First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was a retired teacher having taught in both the Morehouse and Richland School Districts.
Elvis Allmon is survived by his wife Eloise Allmon, son; Stephen Allmon and his wife Mary of West Monroe; son, Michael Allmon of Thonotosassa, Florida; son, Cary Wayne Allmon and wife Freda of Brandon, Florida; daughter, Susan deMarsche and husband Jimmy of Denham Springs, Louisiana, step-brother; Charles Rasberry of Jonesboro, Arkansas, twelve grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Deacons of First Baptist Church.
Visitation with the family will be from 4 p.m. till 8 p.m. Sunday, February 29, at Cox Funeral Home, Bastrop.
