Services for DR. BETTY JEAN FRATIANNE, 49, will be a noon tomorrow at St. Paschal Baylon Church, 5384 Wilson Mills Rd., Highland Hts.
Dr. Fratianne had a general medical practice at 10900 Carnegie Ave. SE from 1955 until she retired in 1971. She died Wednesday of breast cancer at Metropolitan General Hospital.
She was a member of the American Academy of General Practice and the American, Ohio and Cleveland academies of medicine. She belonged to Alpha Omega Alpha, honorary medical society; Iota Sigma Pi, honorary chemical society, and was listed in Who’s Who of American Women.
Dr. Fratianne earned her bachelor’s degree in 1948 from Flora Stone Mather College of Western Reserve University and her medical degree in 1953 from Western Reserve University School of Medicine. She was also president of Scott Realty Co. in the late 1950’s.
Survivors include her mother, Mary Fratianne; sisters, Anita Zompa and Sister Mary Joy of the Sisters of the Humility of Mary, and brothers, Dr. Richard and Dr. Douglas Fratianne. [10/17/15]
