Maurice Warner Gibson, age 90, passed away Tuesday October 13, 2015, at Life Care of LaCenter.

He was a WWII Army Veteran 1943-1946, was named Kentucky Colonel, oldest member of Kevil First Baptist Church, and
a member of the American Legion for 65+ years. Maurice was named Honorary Commissioner of Agriculture in 1988.
He spent 63 days as a POW in Italy while in service. Most of his time was spent as a salesman, carpenter, and a farmer.

Maurice is survived by his wife of 72 years, Eva Jean Gibson of Kevil, KY; one daughter, Nancy Jean Gibson Davenport and husband
Randy of Elkton, KY, two Grandchildren and five Great Grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ellie Warner Gibson and Elizabeth Morehead Gibson; one son, Maurice Dale
Gibson, three brothers and three sisters.

Visitation for Maurice will be Thursday, October 15, 2015 from 5-8 pm at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY

Funeral will be Friday, October 16, 2015 at 11:00 am at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY, with Rev. Randy Davenport officiating. Burial will follow at
Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery in LaCenter, KY.
