In the "History of Chester Co.", published 1881, it mentions that he passed in West Whiteland and was buried by his wife on land now belonging to Thomas Downing.

William Beale came to Chester Co., PA in 1728. He settled in the Great Valley at West Whiteland, about three miles east of the present town of Downingtown. He, with his wife and children, were received into membership at Uwchlan Monthly Meeting, just over the line from West Whiteland on March 21, 1750.

In 1760, William purchased extensive tracts of land in the Tuscarora for his three sons.

William married a second time on March 3, 1774 at Caln MM, Mrs. Rachel (Perkins) Lewis, widow of Phinehas Lewis of East Caln. In the Chester Co. Tax Rates for 1781, William is listed under West Whiteland and is taxed for 300 acres. In 1781 he is taxed for 318 acres. William and his first wife, Mary, are both buried on their farm in West Whiteland, which was sold after William's death.
