Ruth Parry, who as Peggy Parry won national fame for (her) portrayal of Rosemary in "Abie's Irish Rose," died Monday in the local hospital following an operation.
In private life, she was Mrs. W. C. Pickering of Farmington and the daughter of the late Mrs. Max Florence. She was 48 years of age.
Funeral services will be conducted today in Salt Lake.
Surviving are her husband; a son by a former marriage, and a step-daughter. Her husband is supervising installation of the Garkane Power Co. lines in Garfield county.

Daughter of J. L. Parry and Cecelia Evans. She married first to Harold Bernard Wolferstan Thomas, with whom she had a son; and later to John Carmody, before marrying Wright Pickering.
