" SS Lofoten, built by ....... was a British steamer of 942 tons.
On February 3rd, 1918, Lofoten, on a voyage from Glasgow to Havre with general cargo, was sunk by the German submarine UB-38 (Günther Bachmann), 7 miles SExE of Start Point. 17 persons were lost."
