Joe Mell Arnold, 93, a long time resident of Montgomery, AL, died Saturday, October 10, 2015. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 2:00 PM with visitation one hour prior at Leak-Memory Chapel with Reverend Mike Northcutt officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Mr. Arnold is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Helen Lauretta Arnold, and infant daughter Cecilia Arnold. He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Ann Arnold, two daughters, Lauretta Arnold and Sheila Arnold Crews, two granddaughters, to whom he was known as "Paw Paw," Danshea Crews Godwin, and Anna Haley Crews, and three precious great grandchildren, Skylar Elizabeth Crews, Justin "Bryce" Godwin, and Braelynn Grace Crews, a step daughter, Lisa Davis, and step grandson, Lee Davis. Pallbearers are David Arnold, Mike Mullin, Darryl Hudgens, Todd Brown, Wes Tatum, and Darrell Courtland. Being a man of great love and devotion for his family, the love and service of his country as a World War II Veteran, he was a man who was loved by all who knew him and will be truly missed. A true legend in his own time.
