Stanley Johnson of Guilford passed away unexpectedly on October 12, 2015 at his home. He was born on March 5, 1931 in Port Richmond, NY a son of the late Carl and Julia (Telefson) Johnson. On March 31, 1956 in Guilford he married Marjorie Joslyn, who survives.

Besides his wife, Marjorie, he is survived by his children, Sally Johnson and Stephen Chunglo of Lewes, DE, Carol Johnson and Stephen Matties of Rochester, NY and Larry and Danielle Johnson of Guilford; his brothers, Roy Johnson and Kenneth Johnson both of Guilford; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Eleanor Abildness.

Stan was a graduate of Guilford Central School, Class of 1949. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a carpenter for Robert Wessels, from 1954 to 1994. He then helped Lynn Christian and Francis Hubbard. He was a member of the Guilford Fire Department for many years. He enjoyed woodworking, and feeding and watching birds.
