Eugenia Margaret Albrecht, a lifelong resident of Carrollton, Missouri passed away at Life Care Center in Carrollton, MO on July 8th, 2006.
Eugenia was born November 23, 1918, in Carrollton, Missouri to Ray E. and Alice Harrison Brooks. She was married to Herbert Albrecht on July 8th, 1939, in Carrollton, MO. Herbert proceeded her in death on October 27th, 2004. She joined him in heaven on what would have been their 67th wedding anniversary. To this union three surviving children were born. Herbert Wayne Albrecht and his wife, Shelly of Carrollton, MO, Nancy Jean McKinney and husband, Larry of Independence, MO, and Jimmy Dale Albrecht and his wife, Debbie of Carrollton, MO.
Seven grandchildren and their spouses, Michael Todd McKinney and his wife, Julia, of Gladstone, MO, Eric Lynn McKinney and his wife, Gina, of Grain Valley, MO, Tony Albrecht and his wife, Debbie, of Stet, MO, Jennifer Geodeke and her husband, John, of Standish, MO, Tom Albrecht and Marla, of Carrollton, MO, Liza O'Neal and her husband, Tim, of Sedalia, MO, and Richard Albrecht of Carrollton, MO.
Three step-grandchildren, Jeff Walden and wife, Kasey, Candace Luke, and Jean Ann Walden.
Ten great-grandchildren, Shane Michael Manton and Penny, Amber Marie McKinney, Caitlin Hicks, Tallyn McKinney, Nikki and Seth Geodeke, Cody and Ashley Albrecht, Kelzie and Zachary.
Two step-great-grandchildren, Megan O'Neal Reece and husband, Cody, Levi O'Neal and wife, Michelle.
Nine great-great-grandchildren, Dakota Reese, McKenzie Reese, Ciara O'Neal, Bailee Pummell, Kopeland Walden, Cloe Parks, Christian Parks, Alexandria Manton, Shaylen Manton.
She also is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters, and both parents.
Eugenia spent most of her life working with service and social organizations. She was a 4-H Leader, a member of St. Mary's Alter Society, a member of Church Women United Clothing Center, The Mayview and Winfrey Extension Clubs, and collected for the American Cancer Society a number of years.
She was the nursery attendant at the United Methodist Church for several years, and had many children who loved her there. She also volunteered with the reading program at the local elementary schools.
Eugenia was a homemaker and spent her early years babysitting and caring for children. In 1961, she went to work at F. M. Stampers in Carrollton, which would later become Banquet Foods. She worked there until her retirement in November 1981, giving 20 years of service.
Eugenia enjoyed gardening and had many beautiful flowers. She raised beautiful African Violets. She also loved animals and spent many happy years with Trixy and a very special friend, Itty Bitty.
Her greatest joys were her faith and her family.
